About Ronald Neal Collection of Fine Violins
Violinist Ronald Neal, for well over a half century, has owned and performed with some of the most notable stringed instruments produced. Perhaps his most memorable event was bringing eight Stradivarius violins to Dallas in 1985 for a series of concerts and recordings with the Dallas Chamber Orchestra. Over the years Ronald Neal has assisted in placing extraordinary instruments in the hands of students from his own class as well as students from the classes of fellow professional teachers. He has also assisted collectors and performers in the acquisition of fine instruments and bows.

Mr. Neal has directed and taught at numerous festivals in China during the past two decades. During his stays in China, he has met and visited many of the finest luthiers and archetiers. After inspecting hundreds to thousands of representative instruments and bows he has acquired the very best examples from those superb craftsmen. Presently he has approximately 60 violins and 100+ bows by fine Chinese makers from which to choose.
